IMR

IMR stands for "Improved Military Rifle" and got its name from the
world-wide IMR gunpowder, formerly sold by DuPont. In addition to these classic gun propellants the IMR Powder Co. range also includes a number of important and interesting pistol, revolver and shotgun cartridges. Since 2003 IMR Powder Co. belongs to the Hodgdon company and exists as an independent brand there.
